My project of the Interactive Museum-Workshop of Folk Crafts and Traditions “Firebird” began with the creation of a family ceramic workshop in 1998. My husband and I have higher education in biology. But, since there was no work in my specialty in those years, I worked at a school, my husband was engaged in high-rise construction work. In my free time from work, I sculpted with clay. Small souvenir figurines attracted the attention of Komsomolskaya Pravda correspondents, who wrote a report about my place of work. That's how the first sales happened. And then, on the city day, I earned my monthly salary at school with figures in one day. This gave impetus to my entrepreneurial activity.

My husband and I began making souvenirs and taking them to art salons in Vladivostok and Nakhodka. There wasn't enough space in the apartment, so we bought a house with a plot. After this acquisition, we began to develop not only as a ceramic workshop, but also as a tourist attraction. We work as a family, our grown daughters also help. The workshop was open to visits by tourist groups and individual tourists. Several options for excursions and master classes have been developed, designed for different groups of visitors - children, adults, foreign tourists.
At the moment, in our museum-workshop you can get acquainted with pottery, fabric printing, glassmaking, gingerbread making and forging. A collection of antiques is being formed. The excursions are interactive; visitors can master the basic skills of Russian crafts under the guidance of a master. Also in August, the festival of folk crafts "Kustari" is held, where craftsmen come from all over the region.

Our workshop has received many awards. We are repeated leaders of the tourism industry of Primorye in the categories “Souvenir” and “Best country excursion for children”, leaders of the tourism industry in Nakhodka, awarded a grant from the President of the Russian Federation as an object of national cultural significance, gratitude from the governor of Primorye, and so on. We participate in regional and Russian exhibitions and festivals. We also work as a workshop - we carry out orders for interior and landscape ceramics, glass and other works for designers and private customers.

Address of our museum: Primorsky Territory, Fokino, Zarechny lane, no. 16
