More than 200 women applied to participate in the educational program, united by the goal of starting and growing their own business. Mentors - residents of the Committee for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship "OPORA RUSSIA" - worked with aspiring entrepreneurs for four days. The participants received all practical knowledge from experienced entrepreneurs.
Summing up the results of the four-day intensive, Vice-President of OPORA RUSSIA, Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship, member of the EWF Council Nadiya Cherkasova noted one of the features of the program: participants develop their business and remain together with mentors in the same community after graduation.
In addition, the spirit of competition was introduced into the training; the participants’ business plans were submitted for examination by the jury. The most interesting startup, according to the organizers, will receive additional support. Muscovite Ekaterina Makovetskaya presented her mentors with the idea of creating special underwear and swimsuits for women who have been diagnosed with cancer. The startup appeared in the wake of a personal story - the entrepreneur’s mother was diagnosed with a disease, one of the everyday problems of operated women is difficulties in choosing suitable clothes, despite the fact that 77 thousand new cases of breast cancer have been identified in Russia since the beginning of the year. With the help of mentors, Ekaterina Makovetskaya figured out a plan for a social project that goes far beyond trading on marketplaces. An aspiring entrepreneur will be helped to find an investor to start his own business.
